This policy explains how Athar Alwatd (“Wattad”, “we”) collects, uses and protects your data when you use the Wattad Real Estate app and athar-alwatd.com.
1. Data we collect
- Account data if you create an account: your name, phone number, and password, which we store only as a one-way hash that cannot be reversed, plus the time you last signed in.
- Device data: a random identifier the app creates at installation (it does not reveal who you are), the operating system (iOS or Android), the app version, the display language, a notification token if you allow notifications, and the account the device is signed in to, if any.
- Viewing request data when you send a request: name, phone number, type of work, employer and job title if you enter them, preferred viewing time, your notes, the requested unit and compound, plus the IP address and device type to protect the service from abuse.
- Favourites: the units you save, tied to your account.
- Your chats with Nadine, the AI assistant: what you write, the photos and PDFs you choose to send her, her replies, and your ratings (👍 or 👎, with your reason if you give one). See section 4.
- Aggregated statistics: daily counts of unit views and taps on promotions and contact buttons, not linked to your device or identity.
- Crash reports: technical details about errors, with names, phone numbers, passwords and access tokens masked.
Browsing compounds and units needs no account; saving units, requesting a viewing and following “My requests” need an account with your phone number and a password. We do not collect your location or contacts, nor your photos except those you send Nadine yourself, and we use no advertising trackers.
2. How we use data
- To show compounds and units and run the app.
- To sign you in and keep your saved units, requests and notifications in your account, so you find them on any phone you sign in on. When you sign in on a phone, the units saved on it before move into your account; its earlier requests, chats and messages stay with the phone and are not added to your account.
- To pass your viewing request to the sales team and management of the relevant compound so they can contact you.
- To notify you about your request and, if you allow notifications, about general offers; you can turn them off in your device settings.
- To improve the app using aggregated statistics.
- To protect the service from spam and abuse, including limiting sign-in attempts.
3. Sharing
- The compound’s management and sales team handling your request, only to contact you about it.
- Wattad’s support team sees your account’s name and number, the phones it is signed in on, your requests and saved units, to help you. They never see your password.
- Technical service providers acting for us, as far as needed: cloud hosting and image storage, and notification services (Apple Push Notification Service and Google Firebase Cloud Messaging).
- Authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
4. Nadine, the AI assistant
- Nadine answers only from Wattad’s own data: the compounds and units listed, the FAQ, and — when you are signed in — your requests and saved units. She can be wrong, so check what matters with the compound before you decide.
- To write her reply we send your message, any photos or files you send, the recent messages of the chat and Wattad’s listings to an AI model provider (such as Anthropic, OpenAI or Google). We do not send your name or phone number, only a random identifier that does not reveal who you are. We use only providers that do not train their models on the messages, and that do not keep them where that is available.
- Before a photo is stored we remove the camera and location details saved inside it.
- Wattad’s team may review chats you rated 👎 and samples of others to improve the answers, with phone numbers masked.
- Please do not send her sensitive data such as an ID card, a passport or bank card numbers.
- We do not use your chats to make automated decisions about you, nor to train AI models.
5. Retention
We keep your account data while your account exists, viewing request data for as long as needed to follow up and for legitimate regulatory purposes, device data for as long as you use the app, chats with Nadine for 90 days after their last message, and the photos and files sent to her for 30 days; then they are deleted automatically. When you delete your account we delete its data, saved units, notifications and chats with Nadine, and keep your viewing requests without your name, phone and work details so request counts stay correct.
6. Security
- Data travels encrypted over HTTPS, access is limited to authorised staff, and images are served through temporary signed links.
- Your password is stored only as a hash; nobody at Wattad can read it.
- If you forget your password, contact support: our team can set a new password for your account. Doing so signs the account out of every phone, and the action is recorded under the name of the staff member who did it.
7. Your rights and deletion
- If you have an account: delete it instantly in the app (Account → Delete account, with your password), or on the Delete account and data page with your phone number and password.
- If you browse without an account: Account → Delete my data removes what is saved on your phone.
- Delete any chat with Nadine, or all of them, from her screen at any time, with their photos and files.
- To get a copy of your data or correct it, or to delete the details of a request you sent, email [email protected].
8. Children
The app is intended for people aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the new version is published here with its date, and we let you know in the app about significant changes.
